The Theatre

Welcome!

...to the Maitland Repertory Theatre home page. We have information on the theatre's different groups, events and how to participate. By watching our shows, helping us put on shows or supporting our shows, you will enrich your community and have fun at the same time.

Now Playing...

There are at least five multi-week shows a year, so there is always something different to look forward to at the Theatre. Performances range from our traditional Christmas melodrama to Junior Repertory shows and everything between. Treat yourself to some live action entertainment away from the television!

Go to 'Whats On' for more details.

Members Welcome

The theatre is always looking for more members to help enrich Maitland's culture and its members' personal lives. Theatre develops and uses many diverse skills. Volunteers are especially needed in certain areas such as:

  • Set Construction
  • Custume Design
  • Administrative/Organisational
  • Marketing

Go to 'Membership' for more details.

Where is the Theatre?

Located in the heart of Heritage Maitland's Cultural Precinct, the Maitland Repertory Theatre was a Congregational Church before being converted to its current use as a theatre by Maitland Repertory in 1963. The theatre is located opposite Maitland Town Hall and the Maitland Regional Art Gallery on the corner of James St and High St.
